Based on the guidance currently being issued by NHS Test, Trace and Protect services, we wish to highlight that any individual participating in a football training session or match from the 11thDecember, that includes a participant who subsequently tests positive for COVID-19, may be asked to self-isolate over the Christmas period. Given how difficult this year has been and the new guidance that will be in place between 23rd – 28th December which will allow up to 3 households to gather indoors and celebrate Christmas, we feel it is important that people are aware of this information prior to continuing with any planned training sessions or matches from 11th December.
We would encourage all clubs to consult with their players and volunteers so individuals can make informed decisions regarding their participation in football activity between 11th December and Christmas.
