  • The cup action continued this week with the divisional cup quarter finals.
  • In the Supporters Cup, Cwm Talwg upset Cardiff Airport with a 1-0 victory, Cole Roberts scored the decisive goal just before the break, however, there was plenty of action in the second half with Airport having two players sent off and Talwg missing a penalty, but Roberts goal proved to be enough to put the holders Cwm Talwg into the last four.
  • Sully Sports turned on the style to book their semi final place with a 6-2 win over Barry Athletic, Elvis Kononovs the star of the show with a hat trick.
  • Island Marine thumped Cogan Coronation 5-0 to go through to the semi finals, goals from Bowsher, Hopkins, Parry and Stokes see Island Marine book their second semi final of the season.
  • In the Dockers Cup, Vale Madrid came out on top in a classic to shock Holton Road Reserves and make the semi finals. Williams twice gave VM the lead but twice Thomas levelled for Holton, Messer restored VM’s lead but with fifteen left to play Burford equalised, however, Evans notched the dramatic winner to put Vale Madrid through. Vale Madrid will be looking to go one further than last season after being runners up.
  • It was another thriller at the Buttrills as Vale Athletic came from behind to beat Barry Athletic Reserves 3-2 after extra time. McNeill put Vale in front before Fahiya notched two in quick succession to put Barry in the lead, Chaulk then grabbed a dramatic last gasp equaliser to send the game to extra time where Chapman got the winner. The game was overshadowed by a leg break for young Barry Athletic player Robbie Gratton, we wish the young man a speedy recovery.
