Covid 19

Hi all

Due to 3 Covid-19 positive cases on the weekend involving players in friendly matches in the Vale and the subsequent potential misinterpretation of the Welsh Government and Public Health Wales guidelines, the VoGAFL have taken the decision not to give permission for any more friendlies in 2020 and revoke all permissions already given.  This decision will be reviewed in early January. This decision has not been taken lightly but due to high numbers of positive cases and deaths from Covid-19 in Wales we feel this is a sensible approach especially at this time of year.

Any games that take place will be unsanctioned.

Please ensure all your coaches are aware of this.

The details for the right to appeal are given below.

In accordance with FAW Standard Rules for Area associations 25.2, you have a right of appeal against any part of this decision or the decision as a whole, and any such appeal must be served on the South Wales Football Association (the “SWFA”) not more than seven (7) Business Days after the earlier of (a) the decision being announced at the time of the hearing or (b) receipt by the party appealing of the written notification of the decision. All appeals must be accompanied with the appropriate fee of £50.00 (made payable to the SWFA) and be addressed to the Hon. General Secretary, South Wales Footballl Association, 24 Ty Crwyn, Church Village, Pontypridd CF38 2HX or by e-mail to secretary@southwalesfa.co.uk  (FAW Rules 43.2.1 to 43.2.15 refer).  Please be aware the appeal fee may be retained by the Association if the appeal is lost. Please note, a Business day is any day of the week except a Saturday or Sunday or public bank holiday in Wales.

Thanks
