Mid Week Vale League Round Up

With the fixtures piling up after a seven week enforced break, mid week fixtures look like a regular part of our week for the next month. Here is this week’s mid week round up.

Island Marine produced a stunning result to defeat title favourites FC Barry Belgrade 3-2 in what was the evenings shock result. Josh Manning, Louis Angove and Craig Gilbert producing the goals that saw Island produce the goods. Coupled with league leaders St Athan routing Cowbridge Town 4-0, Belgrade are now three points off the top, however still have four games in hand. Barry Athletic continued their free scoring return to form with a 5-0 demolition of Penarth Town, Athletic says fourth, five points of top but having played a game less.

In Division Two, it was all square in both games as BV continued their mini revival with a 2-2 against Vale Madrid while St Athan B and Rhoose B played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.

In the cups, Sully Sports made the final four of the Supporters Cup with a 2-1 win over Cwm Talwg where they will play Cardiff Airport after their win over Penarth Town B.

In the Dockers Cup, Cadoxton Barry ran riot to hammer Glenbrook 10-0

This weekend sees the semi finals of the ASRS Cup and Supporters Cup semi finals, remaining quarter finals of the Dockers Cup and a smattering of league games. Check back here for a full round up.
