Sean Lucas scored an absolute corker as Saints B went top of Division Two by two points.

Saints B had an excellent first half with Paul Lucas scoring despite having earlier missed a penalty, Sean Lucas’ worldie and Craig Howells bagged his 12th of the season to send the seconds in to half time cruising.

The game became a scrappy affair after the break and Island Marine B pulled one back but Saints B held on for their fifth win on the bounce.

Meanwhile, the first team, despite a good first half display, were beaten 4-0 by Island Marine shipping four second half goals.

Saints handed debuts to new signing Rob Kemp and Michael Derrick but it was a familiar story as errors led to two early second half goals and Saints were always chasing the game from that point.

Saints played some decent football in patches but will need to up their game as they face bottom side Sully next week in the battle of the basement teams.
