  • The temperature has dropped but the Vale league is heating up to keep you warm. 
  • Premier Division leaders Holton Road came out on top of a nine goal thriller away to Vale Utd as the leaders came out 5-4 winners. Paul Morgan the star with a hat trick for Holton. The victory puts Holton Road on cloud 9 as they make 9 wins from 9 at the top of the league.
  • Island Marine sit second and only three points off top after their 2-1 victory over Cogan Coronation. Marine left it late but Scott Townsend came off the bench to hit the winner three minutes from time.
  • Penarth Town saw off Barry Athletic 4-2 at Bryn Y Don to stay third, Paul Beedell hitting a brace while Rhys Knight ran the show with three assists.
  • Sully Sports went fourth after a 3-1 win over St Athan, a long range thunderbolt from Ed Halls the pick of the goals that gave Sully their fourth consecutive victory.
  • Cardiff Airport sit sixth after they came back from two goals down against Cwm Talwg in dramatic to win 3-2, Casey Thompson starring and hitting the winner. That makes it six wins on the bounce in all competitions for the Barry Cup semi finalists.
  • In the Championship, BV made it a perfect ten as they steamroller their way toward promotion, this time defeating Island Marine Reserves 3-0 and sit seven points clear with a game in hand.
  • Cardiff Airport Vets turned on the style to go back second as they thumped St Athan Thirds 8-3, Michael Hall hitting an incredible six goals in the big win.
  • Rhoose Social came away from Peterston Super Ely with a 2-0 victory, Chris and Ryan Morgan notching for the Social to keep them third.
  • Tynewydd fought off a St Athan Reserves fight back to end up easing to a 6-3 triumph, Gareth Griffiths turning on the style with a goal and two assists for the Tynny.
  • Ryan Warden struck twice as Vale Athletic dispatched Holton Road Reserves 4-1 to move sixth in the league.
  • Vale Madrid beat Barry Athletic Reserves 2-0 to leap frog then in the league into 8th place, Kieron Ferriday and Steve Williams with the goals that give VM the three points.
  • And finally, the final Vale league representation in the SWFA Cup was ended as AFC Rhoose succumbed to Careau All Whites of the Bridgend League.
