Vale of Glamorgan Football League Preview 25/9
New league leaders Penarth Town host St Athan in Llandough just a mere two weeks after their table topping clash ended in a 1-1 draw. Penarth will be buoyed after their convincing triumph over Holton Road last weekend but we think this once again ends all square in an enthralling contest.
Cadoxton Barry got back to winning ways last week and welcome Barry Athletic to Bryn Y Don. Athletic have only one win in six in the league this season and we can only see Cadoxton Barry getting the win here.
Holton Road head to Pencoedtre to play BV looking to bounce back from last weeks defeat. BV will want to respond after being routed last week but we say it’ll be Holton Road celebrating the three points.
AFC Rhoose return to action this week ay Ceri Road and take on the challenge of Cogan Coronation. Rhoose are yet to taste defeat this season while Cogan are unbeaten in their last three, but we think that ends here with Rhoose coming out victorious.
Tynewydd play Cardiff Airport at Pencoedtre, after Airport got their first win of the season last time out, Tynny sit sixth in the league and have become a tough outfit to play against and we tip them to edge this one.
Cowbridge Town chase their first points in four games against an Island Marine side finding form, this will be a tight game but think Island Marine take it by a goal.
In Division One it’s super Saturday as leaders Rhoose Social face another stern test as they play Vale Athletic who have a 100% record but have played two games less than the side in the top spot. This will undoubtedly be a cracker and we think an entertaining score draw.
