Vale of Glamorgan Football League Preview and Predictions

The big games keep on coming in the Vale league and this weekend there are many of them.

In the Premier Division, second place Cadoxton Barry travel to play St Athan who sit fourth early doors and a 100% record. Jamie Randall scored the only goal of the game on Wednesday as ten man Cadoxton Barry defeated Cardiff Airport 1-0, while Josh Harfoot fired St Athan to a 3-0 mid week win over Tynewydd. This could be a tight affair and we think the points will be shared.

Holton Road host Cardiff Airport at the Butts fresh off a 4-1 victory over Island Marine with a Jack Cutajar brace helping them to the points, while Airport are yet to pick up a point after three games but can consider themselves very unlucky, however, we think the home side take the W here.

Penarth Town will want to keep their perfect start going and follow up on a 2-1 derby victory over Cogan in midweek and travel to Maslin Park to take on the champions Island Marine. This one will be good, and we think Penarth will be the victors.

Cowbridge Town head to Pencoedtre to play Tynewydd fresh off the back of their first win of the season as they beat Barry Athletic 5-3 in midweek. This will be a good battle and we think Tynewydd will get the narrow win.

In Division One only the two games, Vale Madrid head to play Holton Road B play at the Butts, fresh off a midweek loss and will want to put things right, but we think Holton B will have too much for them and take the win.
And finally, St Athan C host BV B in Cowbridge, BV B narrowly lost to Vale Athletic in mid week 2-3 while St Athan C were beaten 4-0 by Vale Utd and are still to pick up a point, so we see BV B winning here.
Be sure to check back here over the weekend for a full round up of the action, and get along, get an ice cream bar and support your local league.
