  • The Premier Division came to an end this last week as runners up Island Marine finished their season on a high defeating Barry Athletic 2-0 in the Island derby. Madison Armstrong and Adam Owens with the goals that ended Athletic’s 8 game unbeaten run, the last time they tasted defeat was against Island Marine.
  • Sully Sports edged out Cogan Coronation 1-0 thanks to Feran Kanda’s strike, the win sees Sully leapfrog Penarth Town to finish fifth. Penarth were subsequently held 2-2 by Cardiff Airport, Rhys Hocking coming off the bench to equalise late on for Penarth.
  • In the Championship on the 6th, Vale Athletic secured second place and promotion with a 1-0 victory over Rhoose Social. Champions BV thrashed bottom side St Athan Thirds while Tynewydd and Holton Road Reserves played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
  • This week BV completed an invincible season as they saw off St Athan Reserves 6-2 to make it an unbeaten league campaign. Out of 22 games BV won 21 and drew just one, a club that’s come a long way since losing every league game just a few years ago. A remarkable achievement by the club who will look to take this forward into the Premier Division next season.
  • Vale Athletic defeated St Athan Thirds with ease to cap off a promotion winning season, Athletic in just their second season have no earned the right to compete in the Vale Premier Division next season, exciting things ahead for this club.
  • Tynewydd moved to within a point of Holton Road Reserves with a 5-2 win over Peterston Super Ely, Tynewydd now need to avoid defeat against Island Marine Reserves on Tuesday to claim third spot. While Rhoose Social snatched a point against Island Marine Reserves at Maslin Park with a late equaliser to finish off their season.
