    The weather claimed the majority of Vale league fixtures over the weekend but both Barry Cup Semi Finals were played.

    Holton Road’s treble dream continues as they overcame Island Marine 2-1 but it took extra time to do so. Tyrell Williams notched twice as Holton Road came from a goal down to win. Holton Road now sit top of the Premier Division and look forward to both Supporters Cup and Barry Cup finals.

    A thriller at Ceri Road saw somewhat of an upset as Cardiff Airport edged out AFC Rhoose 3-2. Airport raced into a 3-0 lead in the first half before Rhoose pulled back two goals inside the final ten minutes to set up a frantic finale but Airport held on.

    Only two league games this weekend, in the Premier Division St Athan made it three wins from their last four with a 2-1 victory over Vale United. The leagues top goalscorer Ben Boyd opened the scoring for St Athan before Ryan Williams quickly levelled, but Andy Home struck the winner for St Athan five minutes from time.

    In the Championship, Barry Athletic Reserves made it two wins on the bounce as they picked up a big 3-0 victory against Cardiff Airport Vets. Curtis Jones opened the scoring and two goals for Lewis Avaient gave Athletic Reserves the win and moves them into second place, although, they have played several more games than their rivals.
