An entertaining mid week game day saw Holton Road come back from 2-0 down to equalise in stoppage time through Ben Pearce’s 92 minute spot kick to grab a 3-3 draw away at AFC Rhoose. Cadoxton Barry saw off Cogan 4-1 thanks to a Jamie Randall hat trick while Island Marine edged Cardiff Airport 2-1. St Athan kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 win over Barry Athletic. Penarth romped to victory over Cowbridge with Rhys Hocking getting a treble. Elliot Hicks was another to grab a hat trick as Tynewydd thumped BV 7-2.
In Division One, Rhoose Social demolished St Athan C with Matt Bagnell grabbing three goals off the bench and Bradley Rowland getting a brace amongst the goals. The night of hat tricks continued as Ed Norton got all three in Sully’s 3-0 win over Holton Road B. Jack Jeffery got what proved to be the winner as Cwm Talwg were victorious over St Athan B 2-1 and Vale Madrid defeated BV seconds 5-2 with James Vrettos brace.
