Vale of Glamorgan Football League Round Up

Following a second enforced winter break the league returned with a handful of games.

St Athan returned to the top of the league with a 2-1 win over Island Marine as Nathan Williams got what turned out to be the winner. Rhoose went second with a 1-0 victory over Penarth Town, Jordan Owen grabbing the decisive goal. FC Barry Belgrade and Barry Athletic both not playing this weekend but ready to pounce on slip ups and Belgrade with four games in hand.

In Division One, table toppers Sully extended their lead at the top to ten points as they brushed aside Cadoxton Imps 6-2 to remain unbeaten. Cardiff Airport went second with a 5-2 away victory over Penarth Town B as SP Billy slipped to a home loss to Tynewydd. Cwm Talwg picked up their first league win since August as they edged out Cadoxton Athletic 3-2.

Only the sole game in Division Two, leaders Llantwit Major squeezed out a 1-0 win over Rhoose B with Max Morgan notching. Llantwit now move eight points clear at the top as their 100% record continues.
