Vale of Glamorgan Football League Round Up

Barry Athletic made it two out of two as they edged Sully Sports 2-1, the champions continued to make a bright start to their title defence. Island Marine and Rhoose played out a 2-2 draw while Cowbridge Town came back down to earth after an opening day win, losing 4-1 to newly promoted Barry Saints. St Athan slumped to a second successive loss as Penarth Town bounced back from a first day defeat to win comprehensively 6-3.

In Division One, Cardiff Airport’s free scoring start to the season continued as they thumped Tynewydd 5-0. Cadoxton Imps edged out derby rivals Cadoxton Barry 2-1, while Cogan made it two from two as they pipped Cwm Talwg 4-3. Holton Road got off to a winning start as they too won 4-3 over SP Billy.

In Division Two, Cadoxton Athletic romped to a massive victory over Barry Albion while Rhoose B saw off Island Marine B 4-1. Barry Vikings inflicted a 4-0 defeat on Barry Athletic B while Penarth B responded to an opening day loss to thump St Athan B 5-1.
