It wasn’t a spooky weekend in the Vale league but a wet one as several games fell foul of the weather.

In the Premier Division, Jack Blackmore gave Island Marine a half time lead against Cardiff Airport before Luke Pearson came off the bench to grab the equaliser ten minutes before time to ensure a share of the points.
In Division One, Cwm Talwg went level on points at the top with Sully. as they came out with the three points in their big clash with Rhoose Social. Josh Kirke turned in the winner for Cwm Talwg and now they sit four points clear of Rhoose Social.
Vale Athletic got back to winning ways one phantom fashion as they ran riot against Island Marine B, Bradley Rosser and Lewis Dite both getting hat tricks amongst the goals in this rout.
St Athan B edged out St Athan C 2-1 in a competitive encounter. Liam Burgess gave C the lead before Josh Howells levelled for B, and then Craig Howells came off the bench to hit the winner for St Athan B.
In the SWFA Senior Cup, Holton Road went out to Alliance Premier Division side Trebanog 6-2. Trebanog play three divisions higher and their class told despite Holton Road taking an early lead.
St Athan are now the final Vale side left in the competition as they made the last 16 with an emphatic 8-2 victory of Penygraig BGC, Ben Boyd grabbed a hattrick, a brace from Seth Talbot and one each from Bradley Young, Sean Lucas and Coree Roberts to ensure their place in the next round.
