Vale of Glamorgan Football League Round Up

Vale football returned after 525 days with a bang with 41 goals across 8 games.

If games were moved for tv coverage then this one would have been on Super Sunday, as the Premier division kicked off with Cadoxton Barry hosting AFC Rhoose. Rhoose went 2-0 through goals from Joe Butcher and Josh Bryan but Caddy Barry battled back into the game with a goal from Zack Cleary, before Jordan Turner grabbed the equaliser as the spoils were shared in a 2-2 draw.

Holton Road hit the ground running with a 5-2 triumph over Cowbridge Town. Holton did however have to come back from an early goal for Cowbridge, and raced into a 3-1 lead before Finley Thomas pulled one back for Town on half time. But Holton’s class shone through as goals from Ben Pearce and Ben Graham saw Holton to all three points.

Penarth Town needed their tailsman on top form against Tynewydd, Adam Nilsen with the home sides two goals in a 2-1 win.

BV got their Vale top flight debut off to a winning start as a brace from Kye Ingham gave them an impressive victory over Barry Athletic.

In Division One, Rhoose Social got off to a flying start as they hammered BV seconds 7-1, Josh Harris helping himself to a hat trick.

Cwm Talwg went one better as they hit 8 in a goal fest against Vale Madrid, coming out 8-3 winners, Sam Mongomery grabbing a treble.
