Vale of Glamorgan Football League Round Up

The fixture schedule was decimated by a deluge of rain from Friday night but a handful of games survived.

Three games made it in Division One, leaders Barry Athletic B came from a goal down at half time to secure a 3-1 victory over SP Billy, Ben Graham (2) and Lewis Marsh firing Athletic B nine points clear at the top, however, second place Barry Belgrade have three games in hand.

Elsewhere in Division One, Cardiff Airport made in two big wins in a row as they rose above their opponents Cadoxton Barry with a 6-1 victory. Sully Sports kept up their good recent form with a third league win on the bounce with a 7-1 away win over bottom side Glenbrook.

In the Premier Division, Cowbridge Town went third, level on points with second, with a hard fought 2-1 win against Island Marine in difficult conditions. The win makes it right league games without defeat for Town.

Finally in Division Two, Rhoose B cruised past BVFC 4-0, two wins in a row for Rhoose B but the result sees it eight games without a victory for BV.

Next week, weather permitting, sees a full league schedule. Games of the day in each division see St Athan host Penarth Town in the Premier, Cogan play Barry Belgrade in Division One and in Division Two Penarth B welcome Cadoxton Imps as third play second.

As usual check back here next week for a full round up.
