Vale of Glamorgan Football League Preview

League leaders St Athan host Penarth Town who have played a game less, but both sides have a 100% record. One teams O may go but we think it ends all square.

Rhoose moved up to fifth last week and will look to make up ground on the pack, they host Cowbridge at Ceri Road and we say Rhoose keep their unbeaten start going with a win.

Reigning champions Island Marine have one win from their opening games, and they play Barry Athletic who have a similar record. We think Island Marine get their season going at Maslin Park with a victory in the Island derby.

Cogan picked up their first win last week and host Tynewydd who have made a decent start to the campaign, watch out for this one to a great contest and we say the spoils are shared.

Cardiff Airport sit bottom of the table without a point but this is probably an unfair reflection of their performances, they play BV at Ceri Road who have made a decent start to life in the top flight, but we think Airport get their first win of the season.

In Division One it’s a real big game, as Sully host Rhoose Social in a clash of title favourites. This will be a cracker, and there won’t be much to separate the sides but we will put our neck out and say it’s a Rhoose Social win.

Holton Road B play Vale Utd at Pencoedtre, both teams have had similar starts albeit Utd playing two games less, another good game here and we say Utd edge it.

And finally, in a bizarre clash St Athan C host St Athan B. St Athan C are still chasing their first points of the season while St Athan B picked up their first win last week will be buoyed by that, so we think St Athan B take the three points here.

Make sure to check back here on Sunday for a full round up.
